We are seeking a friendly, reliable Retail Associate to join our team and help deliver the exceptional customer service and product quality our brand is known for.
Key Responsibilities
As a Retail Associate at Stewart & Jasper Orchards, you will:
Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations, including our specialty almond snacks, wines, and gift items.
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, accurately process cash, credit, and gift card transactions, and handle returns or exchanges according to company policy.
Maintain product knowledge of our almond-based products, seasonal offerings, gift baskets, and promotions to effectively assist customers.
Stock, rotate, and merchandise products on shelves and displays, ensuring items are well‑presented, properly labeled, and fresh.
Assist with inventory tasks, including receiving shipments, counting stock, and reporting low or out‑of‑stock items to management.
Help create and assemble gift baskets and specialty assortments that reflect Stewart & Jasper’s quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment, including sales floor, sampling areas, stockroom, and restrooms.
Support in-store events or tastings (such as wine or product sampling) as scheduled, helping set up, engage guests, and clean up afterward.
Follow all food safety, cash handling, and company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Prior retail, customer service, or food service experience preferred, but not required.
Friendly, positive, and professional demeanor with strong communication skills.
Comfortable engaging with customers, learning product details, and making recommendations.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–35 lbs throughout a shift.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Basic math and computer skills for handling POS transactions.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed.
Schedule & Compensation
Employment Type: Part-time or Full-time (specify based on your need)
Schedule: Varies by location; may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage, commensurate with experience; similar roles at Stewart & Jasper have been listed around $15/hour for retail sales associates in California markets.
