Banana Protein Muffins

These soft and satisfying banana protein muffins are made with real bananas, creamy vanilla protein, a hint of almond extract, and our rich sage honey for natural sweetness. The almond extract adds a warm bakery-style flavor that pairs perfectly with the sweet banana and delicate floral notes of the honey. Packed with protein and wholesome ingredients, they’re perfect for breakfast, post-workout fuel, or an anytime snack.

Ingredients:

  • 3 Large Extra Ripe Bananas; mashed
  • 1 Large Egg
  • ¼ cup Sage Honey
  • 1 tbsp Avocado or Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Almond Extract
  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour
  • ½ cup Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • ½ cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Prepare muffin pan with paper muffin cups.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine mashed bananas, egg, honey, avocado oil and almond extract. Stir vigorously until the mixture is smooth.
  3. In a separate large mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients; flour, protein powder, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients to wet ingredients, and mix gently until combined.
  5. Add in chocolate chips.
  6. Spoon batter into the prepared muffin tins, filling each one to the top, which should make about 10 muffins.
  7. Sprinkle additional chocolate chips on the top of each.
  8. Bake muffins for 5 minutes at 425 degrees F., and then with muffins staying in the oven, reduce heat to 350 degrees F. and bake muffins for an additional 12 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and allow muffins to cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Enjoy!
