Caramel Apple Waffle Bowls

Golden waffle bowls are layered with crisp, fresh apple slices and a drizzle of rich, buttery caramel, creating the perfect balance of sweet and tart. Topped with creamy vanilla ice cream and a generous handful of crunchy cinnamon glazed almonds, each bite offers a mix of smooth, crisp, and spiced textures. These Caramel Apple Waffle Bowls are a simple yet show-stopping dessert that delivers big fall flavor with minimal effort. This recipe is great year-round or to celebrate National Waffle Day which falls on August 24th every year. 

Ingredients: 

  • For Waffle:
  • 1 ¾ cup Krusteaz Gluten Free Pancake/Waffle Mix
  • 1 cup Cold Water
  • 1/3 cup Milk
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil*
  • 2 Egg Whites
  • For Topping:
  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Caramel Sauce
  • Sliced Apples
  • Cinnamon Glazed Almonds; chopped*
  • Whipped Cream

*All of these products can be purchased at Stewart & Jasper, in-store and online.  

Instructions: 

  1. Blend all waffle mix ingredients together.
  2. Batter will be slightly lumpy.
  3. Pour batter into a lightly greased waffle bowl maker of your choice.
  4. Cook waffles until steaming stops or until golden brown.
  5. Once waffle is cool, scoop vanilla ice cream for inside.
  6. Top with warmed caramel sauce, sliced apple, cinnamon glazed almonds and whipped cream.
  7. Enjoy!
