ISO 9001:2000 Certification – Stewart and Jasper received ISO 9001:2000 certification in December 2002. We are currently operating under an approved HACCP plan. These two quality assurance measures underscore the emphasis on quality and integrity that has been the hallmark of Stewart and Jasper since 1948.

BEST USA Inc. – Stewart and Jasper is the first California almond processing company to utilize BEST™ laser technology with the installation of the BEST ARGUS unit. It is currently in use in our processing facility. It is very efficient in removing rock, plastic, glass and metal. It has a sorting capacity of up to 7 tons per hour. It removes most of the foreign material from the almonds prior to our final inspection hand sorting. Throughput has increased dramatically with this addition to our operation.

Klippenstein Carton Erector – Stewart & Jasper is using a Klippenstein carton erector that transforms flat stock into a finished carton every 8 seconds. The new package is stronger and lighter weight than the material it replaces. Cartons are made on demand as packing proceeds. This machine produces a carton that is precisely shaped for clean storage, and efficiently sealed for food safety and preservation.
